"Hanami Reviver" - a sakura drink by Schahin Dorri from the TiER Bar

TiER is the bar with the "alcohol education mission for better drinking" in beautiful Berlin Neukölln. The bar manager is Schahin Dorri, who, inspired by the classic cocktail "Corpse Reviver", created the fantastic drink "Hanami Reviver" for us.

Japanese tea and Japanese alcohol

Japan and tea are virtually inseparable. The hot drink has played an important role in the Land of the Rising Sun since the 8th century. It is also hard to imagine the production of alcohol without tea. Liqueurs made or refined with tea can be found in the product landscape, as can tea shochu or gin, in which tea is used as a botanical.

New In: Two new gins, Shochu and Umeshu

We have two new gins in our store, a great Imo Shochu and the Kaga Umeshu 5 Years. One special feature is the JIN7 Limited, which was produced in a very small batch of just 1,096 bottles. Only 60 bottles are destined for the German market, and we have secured them for you. A delicious rarity that impresses with its fruity nuances.

IWSC 2022 - Gold for the Sato No Akebono Genshu Shochu

The International Wine & Spirit Competition, IWSC for short, is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world. More than 4,000 spirits from over 90 countries were tasted and judged in London this year. We are delighted that four products from our range received one of the coveted medals. First and foremost the Sato No Akebono Genshu Shochu, which received a gold medal for the second time in a row.

Miyagi is a beautiful prefecture that is close to both the mountains and the sea. The food culture there is characterized by local sake and local food. Trendy tuber - a different take on the sweet potato...

The sweet potato was already in fashion 10,000 years ago and is one of the most important staple foods in many countries. This is also the case in Japan, where the great tuber has been used to make shochu for centuries. The sweet potato grows most frequently in Kagoshima Prefecture on Kyushu.

Against the cold: drink your Shochu Oyuwari

Shochu can be enjoyed in a variety of ways. A common drinking method in Japan is "Oyuwari", i.e. shochu extended with hot water. This drinking method is popular with us during the cold season. To enjoy a shochu oyuwari, hot water is poured over the shochu in a ratio of 4:6 or 6:4.
