Barley Shochu (Mugi)
Barley shochu (Mugi) is very popular in Japan. Whether barrel-aged or not, whether lightly bottled at 25% vol or stronger than Genshu Shochu (from 37% vol), it is great for cocktails, but also for food pairing or for drinking neat. Whisky drinkers, for example, usually like Mugi Shochu very much.
