Goodbye cold - Japanese-style mulled wine

Defying the cold - Japanese-style mulled wine

It doesn't always have to be classic: It's super cold outside, so why not make yourself a little warmer with a Japanese-style mulled wine? This alternative to the traditional hot drink is delicious and, above all, very easy to prepare. Have fun with it!

Mulled wine with a difference...

To prepare the mulled wine the Japanese way, you will need:

250 ml sake (e.g. Nobu The Sake)
275 ml jasmine tea
1 lemon
1 lime
4 tbsp cane sugar

Preparation:

Heat the sake with the juice of half a lime, the juice of half a lemon and the sugar in a pan until the sugar has melted. Then pour into glasses, top up with freshly brewed jasmine tea and place one or two slices of lemon in each glass. If you like your mulled wine a little stronger, you can spice it up with rum (e.g. Seven Seas Japanese Rum).

Cheers & Kanpai!
