There is no spirit in the world with a greater variety of flavors than Japanese shochu. Over 53 raw materials are permitted for production, from classics such as barley, rice and sweet potato to unusual variants made from green peppers, sesame or fever bush. We have selected 7 exciting examples of shochu and its close relative, awamori, for you.
At our exclusive tasting events, you’ll learn all about the producers, production methods, and ways to enjoy our fine spirits. Of course, we’ll also let you sample plenty of them, and along the way, we’ll share exciting and amusing anecdotes from our travels to the Land of the Rising Sun. The event begins at 6:30 p.m., and the tasting will be conducted in German. The tasting lasts 2 hours, until 8:30 p.m.
