April 17, 2026: SCHLAMPANPAM Yuzu Tasting – Yuzu Sake, Yuzu Liqueurs, and More

SCHLAMPANPAN – it's a movement, a community, a worldview. As part of the "Nippon Spring" gourmet month in 2026, SCHMALPANPAN is teaming up with Ginza Berlin for an exclusive yuzu tasting!

The Japanese love citrus fruits in all their variations and flavors. Known as "kankitsu" in Japan, the country probably offers the greatest variety in the world. There are currently over 100 known varieties of citrus fruit in Japan. The most popular and well-known citrus fruit is yuzu, a cross between the hardy Ichang lemon and a mandarin. It is fresh and fruity and has a characteristically intense, slightly bitter taste. Yuzu has become an indispensable part of Japanese cuisine and is now also widely used in European cuisine. The Japanese also use yuzu to create unusual drinks. At our yuzu tasting, we will introduce you to the world of yuzu liqueurs, yuzu sake, yuzu umeshu, and more. We will taste six delicious yuzu products as well as a yuzu spritz.

At our exclusive tasting events, you will learn all about the producers, production methods and drinking methods of our fine products. Of course, we will also let you taste plenty of them and tell you exciting and funny anecdotes from our trips to Japan. The tasting starts at 18:30 and will be held in German. The tasting lasts up to 2 hours, until 8.30 pm.
