Energizingly delicious: Three types of ginseng and 12 herbs, most of which come from Asian medicinal medicine, make Yomeishu Ginseng a very special drop. Dried ginseng, steamed ginseng and eleuthero (Siberian ginseng / taiga root) as well as herbs and spices such as goji berry, cardamom, reishi mushroom and jujube (Chinese date) are used. A fantastic herbal specialty that can be used in a variety of ways - for example in cocktails or as a digestif.

Manufacturer Yomeishu is known in Japan for its product of the same name, Yomeishu. The history of what is probably the oldest alcoholic herbal medicine in the world dates back to 1602. Yomeishu is therefore an absolute expert in the use of plants and herbs in the production of alcoholic beverages. The three types of ginseng and the 12 herbs used are first soaked in alcohol to enhance the flavor and extract the ingredients. Sugar syrup and apple juice are then added to sweeten. The 12 herbs are: Jujube (Chinese date), guarana, goji berries, chenpi (dried tangerine peel), lily, longan, black pepper, cardamom, apricot kernel, citrus extract, maca ("Peru ginseng" / cruciferous plant) and reishi mushroom.

Yomeishu Ginseng is slightly bitter, very complex, invigorating and spicy, with a slightly sharp finish. Incidentally, the manufacturer has patented the special production method for this delicacy (patent no. 4372187).

Yomeishu Ginseng can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks and is a sophisticated ingredient for exciting cocktails.

Neither fragrances nor colorants are used in Yomeishu Ginseng. Please shake well before drinking! Once opened, please store in the fridge.

About the manufacturer

Headquartered in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Yomeishu is best known in Japan for the Yomeishu of the same name. It is Japan's oldest alcoholic herbal medicine, with a history dating back to 1602. Yomeishu therefore has a wealth of experience in the use of plants and herbs in the production of alcohol. While many similar products such as Chartreuse or Jägermeister have moved away from their medicinal roots and have long been found in bars around the world, Yomeishu is still considered more of a medicinal drink. It is sold in pharmacies across the country. At the beginning of 2019, the company then launched three craft spirits: Kanomori Gin, Kanoshizuku Gin and a craft gin cocktail. The portfolio was expanded shortly afterwards to include Yomeishu Ginger and Yomeishu Ginseng. Yomeishu is also keen to do its bit for climate protection and had a solar park built in Tsurugashima City in Saitama Prefecture, north of Tokyo, in 2013. This generates electricity for 400 to 500 households every year.
