The Shirayuri Uchida does not deny its Italian kinship, but nevertheless impresses with its very own characteristics. A rare and exciting experience that lingers long in the memory and on the tongue. This Japanese pomace brandy is elegant and absolutely easy to drink. It has a mild and slightly nutty aroma. Even though wine production has existed in Japan for a long time, Japanese pomace brandies are an absolute rarity and rarely found in the country. Uchida is the first pomace brandy ever produced in Japan. It is made from the skins of the Koshu grape, which is almost unique to Japan. Although these grapes have a reddish color, they are classified as white wine varieties. The growing areas for the Koshu grape are all located in the southern part of the main island of Honshu. Incidentally, the bottle of Uchida, which looks like a flacon, is made in Italy.

Uchida's grandfather founded the production facility in 1939, and today it produces numerous high-quality white and red wines as well as other spirits, such as grappa. Yamanashi is Japan's most important wine region. With its clear water and rich soil, Yamanashi offers the best conditions for growing wine.
