October 1st is one of the most important days in the sake calendar. Also known as Sake Day or "Nihonshu no Hi" (日本酒の日), it marks the beginning of the new production season for all sake producers. Since 1978, sake lovers around the world have celebrated this special day on October 1st. We're celebrating World Sake Day with an exclusive sake tasting. To make it a little more relaxed for everyone, the Sake Day celebration will be postponed by one day to take advantage of the evening before the holiday.
Sake has a long tradition and cultural history in Japan. The flavors are extremely diverse, with over 500 different aromas in this wonderful drink. We have selected 6 exciting examples for you and will taste them extensively.
At our exclusive tasting events, you will learn all about the producers, production methods and drinking methods of our fine products. Of course, we will also let you taste plenty of them and tell you exciting and funny anecdotes from our trips to Japan. The tasting starts at 18:30 and will be held in German. The tasting lasts up to 2 hours, until 8.30 pm.
See you at Atelier Ginza in Berlin!
