October 1st is one of the most important days on the sake calendar. Also known as Sake Day or “Nihonshu no Hi” (日本酒の日), it marks the start of the new brewing season for all sake producers. Since 1978, sake lovers around the world have celebrated this special day on October 1st. As part of World Sake Day, we invite you to an exclusive sake tasting. To make things a little more relaxed for everyone, we’re moving our Sake Day celebration back one day to Friday evening.
Sake has a long tradition and cultural history in Japan. The flavors are incredibly diverse; this wonderful drink boasts over 500 different varieties. We’ve selected six exciting examples for you, and we’ll be tasting them in detail.
At our exclusive tasting events, you will learn all about the producers, production methods and drinking methods of our fine products. Of course, we will also let you taste plenty of them and tell you exciting and funny anecdotes from our trips to Japan. The tasting starts at 18:30 and will be held in German. The tasting lasts up to 2 hours, until 8.30 pm.
See you at Atelier Ginza in Berlin!
