10th Japan Festival in Berlin: Visit us for the anniversary at the Urania
On January 26 and 27, 2019, the Urania will once again be transformed into a Japanese show stage, and we will of course be there: visit us as usual on the 3rd floor on the "Exclusive Japan" floor and immerse yourself in the culture and culinary delights that Japan has to offer.
As always, the JapanFestival showcases Japan's artistic and cultural diversity in the fields of art, culture, lifestyle and tourism. Over 400 artists, musicians, dancers and performers present a non-stop live program in two concert halls on two stages for 36 hours. Highlights include the taiko drummers from Tengu Daiko and the taiko ensemble Shambala Daiko, a traditional kimono presentation with kimono master Yoko Sawasan from Tokyo and a Gothic Lolita-style fashion show.
Over 120 exhibitors will present "Japanese things" on four levels, from bonsai to Japanese tea, kimonos, accessories, tourist information as well as manga, anime and cosplay accessories, Japanese art and design to culinary delicacies such as sushi, matcha chocolate, pokies, Japanese baked goods, onigirazu, Japanese spirits and onigiri. The JapanFestival Berlin is open on Saturday, 26.01.2019 from 10.00 to 20.00 and on Sunday, 27.01.2019 from 10.00 to 18.00. The day ticket costs 15 euros on Saturday and 14 euros on Sunday, the two-day ticket 26 euros (including all performances).
