The Riku Land Discovery Whisky is a blended whisky from the house of Kirin. A fruity aroma of yellow peaches, oranges and apples and a long, intense and complex finish characterize this whiskey. The Kirin Riku Land Discovery is bottled at 50% vol, and completely without cold filtration. Thus, no flavors are filtered out and the whiskey shows all its complexity.

About the manufacturer

Kirin Co. LTD. is a Japanese beverage manufacturer that is best known in Germany and Europe for its beers. The company is Japan's second largest beverage producer in terms of market share. Kirin was founded in 1885 under the name "Japan Brewery" and has been trading under the name Kirin Brewery since 1888. Kirin. The company's emblem is a Japanese-Chinese mythical creature, half horse, half dragon, and is regarded as a symbol of good luck in Asia. Kirin Holdings is part of the Mitsubishi Group.
Kirin was the leader in the Japanese beer market for a long time, but was overtaken by Asahi in 2001. Nevertheless, the company still sells the two most popular beers in the country, namely "Kirin Lager", the oldest Japanese beer brand, and "Ichiban Shibori". From the early 1970s, Kirin also began to invest in areas other than beer brewing. Divisions for the production of Scotch whisky and non-alcoholic beverages were added, and in 1988 the group launched its first Chu-Hi (a ready-made long drink with shochu in a can).
