Awamori Coffee 35 Sango

Awamori Coffee 35 Sango is concentrated coffee flavor in a bottle! And not only does it taste really great - part of the proceeds also go to a good cause. 3.5% of the proceeds go directly to the protection of endangered coral reefs in Okinawa. Awamori Coffee is produced without the addition of sugar. The intense coffee flavor is solely due to the special roasting process of the coffee beans. The alcoholic base is Awamori, the national drink of Okinawa, Japan's southernmost prefecture, which tastes very intense and aromatic.

Description

The "35 Coffee" company can often be found in Okinawa. The company takes a very special approach to roasting its coffee: the coffee beans are roasted at up to 200° Celsius over weathered coral. This is similar to a stone roasting method and produces a particularly smooth and mild, yet aromatic coffee. This process is of course also used for Awamori Coffee 35 Sango. Incidentally, Sango means both coral and 35 in Japanese. The coffee beans used to make the coffee are first soaked in Awamori for a month before roasting. The 35 Coffee is extremely aromatic and has subtle bitter notes with a light and pleasant acidity. The deep brown color is beautifully accentuated in the elegant glass bottle. No artificial flavorings or sugar are added.

35 Coffee" invests 3.5% of its total turnover in the "Coral Reproduction Project". This was launched in 2009 to protect and restore the coral population of Okinawa, 90% of which had already been destroyed at that time. 3.5% of the sale of 35 Sango also goes directly towards saving the coral reefs.

The 35 Coffee Sango can be enjoyed on the rocks or straight. It is also ideal for cocktails or for refining desserts. It is a secret weapon for espresso martinis.
