Ginza Berlin receives Certification of Japanese Food and Ingredient Supporter
The Japanese Food Supporter Program of the Japan External Trade Organization JETRO has been in place since April 1, 2016. This program was developed to certify restaurants, bars and retailers outside Japan that carry Japanese food and beverages as official "Japanese Food Supporters" in order to promote the use of Japanese food products around the world.
Ginza Berlin received this certification from JETRO in June 2018. "We are delighted to receive this certificate, as we import and distribute 100 percent Japanese trade goods," says Ginza owner Kai Fryder. "This award is certainly also an important signal for our business partners in Japan, as JETRO is of course also important in Japan and stands for trust worldwide."
JETRO certification has only been awarded to a very small number of companies in Germany, currently just four retailers.
